I get into town...and what do i see?
When your plane lands and you are handed a newspaper with the following headlines...you NEED to reconsider the holiday you are planning there. "Coup D' Etat"Now I have learnt about the term in History, Civics and French...but never really seen the term as headline in the country I am in. Well the Armed forces and the national police have taken over the government in Thailand hours before I landed in Bangkok...and the Bangkok Post Says it best... 'Coup D'Etat' French for "No Shopping PLEASE Thank you."

oh shucks maaan........u r one lucky bloke.......thank god it was a bloodless coup.......on the other hand.........it would have been a nice story to tell.......i lost a friend during the military coup in 2006............he he.
